On 20–21 August 2026, the Mescells | MSC Specialized Healthcare System for Regenerative Medicine & Cell Therapy attended the 2nd Vietnam Private Healthcare Development Forum 2026, organized by the Vietnam Private Hospital Association under the theme “Developing private healthcare in Vietnam”. The event is an important forum for regulators, experts, hospitals and private medical facilities to discuss development directions, quality improvement and the building of a modern, sustainable healthcare ecosystem.

A forum promoting dialogue and direction for private healthcare

The Vietnam Private Healthcare Development Forum 2026 was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Health, representatives of regulatory agencies, experts and managers, and representatives of many private hospitals and medical facilities across the country.

Discussions at the forum focused on issues of great importance to the development of private healthcare, such as improving policy, developing human resources, managing risk, raising service quality, scientific research and sustainable development.

As demand for healthcare continues to rise, private healthcare has many opportunities to play a deeper part in the healthcare system, while facing ever higher requirements in professional quality, technological capacity, governance and the ability to meet patients’ real needs.

It is also an opportunity for private healthcare organizations to strengthen their connections, share experience and seek suitable forms of cooperation, towards the shared goal of improving the quality of healthcare for the public.

Private healthcare aims for quality and advanced techniques

According to Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen, Politburo Resolution No. 72 sets out the policy of promoting the development of private healthcare and mobilizing and using resources for healthcare effectively; it encourages the establishment of large-scale private hospitals with advanced techniques and high quality on a par with international standards. The private sector is also given a wider role in disease prevention, scientific research, workforce training, and the production of medicines and medical equipment.

“Our goal is not necessarily to establish another 100 hospitals. We may need only 10 more, but they must be of real quality, with advanced techniques, and meet patients’ needs well,” Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen said at the forum.

The goal is not for the public or the private sector to develop separately, but to build together a stronger, more modern healthcare system that operates within a unified ecosystem and puts people at the center.
