1. Job description

1.1. Carrying out research projects (40%)

Leading projects: proposing, drafting proposals for and leading scientific research projects at various levels, or international cooperation projects.
Scientific publication: taking responsibility for the scientific content of papers and works published in reputable domestic and international journals.

1.2. Technology transfer with external organizations (35%)

Receiving technology transfer from outside: evaluating, adopting and adapting technology.
Building a science and technology network: representing the Institute at scientific seminars and conferences; identifying, connecting with and establishing cooperative relationships with universities, research institutes and reputable scientific organizations in Vietnam and abroad; organizing conferences, seminars…
Working with the production, QA and QC teams on internal technology transfer (from trial to production)

1.3. Developing and improving technological processes (10%)

Drawing up the annual roadmap for new product research and development based on market demand and the Institute’s capabilities
Creating new products and optimizing cost and quality.
Improving and adjusting technologies and research processes to ensure high-quality results.

1.4. Training (10%)

Training researchers in knowledge and techniques.
Delivering internal course seminars or teaching at the request of the training team or the sales department
Supporting the Training team in inviting domestic and international experts to join the Institute’s scientific council and teach on the Institute’s training programs.
Teaching specialist knowledge to junior staff and trainees.

1.5. Other duties as they arise (5%)

Working with other departments/teams in the company on other tasks
Tasks assigned by the Institute Director/Deputy Director.

2. Requirements

2.1. Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in:

Biotechnology (genetics, cell, medicine and pharmacy)
Biomedical engineering, life sciences
Pharmacy, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry

(At least 5 years of research experience)

2.2. Experience

Principal investigator/secretary of at least 1 scientific research project, or member of at least 3 scientific projects
Lead author of at least 1 international scientific paper, or named on 5 international scientific papers
Has presented at an international scientific conference

2.3. Competencies

Designing and carrying out cell experiments and analyzing biological data
Writing scientific reports and international papers
Ability to lead a research team and coordinate projects
Research cooperation with domestic and international partners
Good communication and soft skills for handling situations as they arise
Good skills in reading, summarizing and reporting
Good time management and a proactive approach to work

3. Benefits

Monthly income: VND 25,000,000 – 35,000,000/month (depending on ability).

Base salary: VND 8-10 million
Fuel, phone and position allowances: VND 5-10 million
Performance pay: VND 10-15 million

Performance review with a salary increase of 5% to 8% per year
